Speakers' Bureau

The Speakers' Bureau is comprised of individuals from the community who volunteer to speak to students and staff about HIV/AIDS Education. The Speakers' Bureau list includes HIV positive speakers, doctors, health professionals, and community AIDS educators. These individuals have been oriented to the district curriculum "AIDS: Get the Facts!". In addition, they participate in the district Speakers' Bureau screening and evaluation process. Due to the sensitive subject matter, all HIV/AIDS presentations involving speakers from the community should be scheduled through the district HIV/AIDS Education Program. A speaking engagement is approximately 1-2 hours in length. Speaking options include:

Remember, when providing speakers for students, a letter must be sent home and the required curriculum must be taught in advance.
